Realizing the crucial role the internet play in the swift dissemination of information in the 21st century, the Kwara State news publishing entity – the Herald is exploring this dynamic tool of communication to reach out to her teaming viewers across the country and beyond.
This was disclosed by the Honorable Commissioner for Communications, Mrs. Adenike Harriet Afolabi-Oshatimehin at the launch of the e-paper version on Wednesday 5th August 2020. “We are exploring internet-based platforms because it is not only cost-effective and convenient but also the easiest tool for communication. The Ministry of Communications being the supervising Ministry of the publishing entity will leave no stone unturned at rebranding the organization for better service delivery.” She added.
The e-paper initiative is coming 47 years after the establishment of the print medium under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is exploring every opportunity to develop and promote the State.
Adenike identified the importance of effective communication to better position Kwara State as an investment destination.
