The ongoing construction of the central palace in Oro Kingdom witnessed a significant moment yesterday as members of renowned sociocultural and community-based foundation, the Igbomina Pathfinders, paid a congratulatory visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II, the Oloro of Oro Kingdom.
Led by Olaniyi Toye, the group reaffirmed its commitment to the Kingdom’s development, highlighting its instrumental role in key initiatives, particularly the successful facilitation of the step-down power project in 2022. This milestone, it noted, has contributed to improving electricity access within the region.
During the visit, discussions were held on addressing the persistent issue of epileptic power supply. Mr. Ariyo Kehinde, the IBEDC Oro branch manager, joined the deliberations and explored strategies for collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve a lasting solution.

Also, he acknowledged that the Oloro’s recent visit to Ibadan, where he engaged with IBEDC top management, has played a role in the recent improvements in power supply within the Kingdom.
Ariyo further stressed the need for collective responsibility in sustaining progress, urging community members to ensure the regular payment of electricity bills. He emphasized that a stable power supply can only be maintained through the consistent support and cooperation of residents.
In response, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II commended the Igbomina Pathfinders for their unwavering dedication to the Kingdom’s development. He urged them to remain steadfast in their vision and continue working towards the progress of Oro.
